Remediation

Buchen prepares the required remediation concept for the customer on the basis of the inspection results. The CHERNE process used for the sealing of damaged areas is characterized by its high efficiency and economy. It is based on the employment of three components:
  • Video unit for localization of critical points and positioning of the testing and sealing packer
  • Pneumatic testing and sealing system for testing with water pressure
  • Polyurethane based sealant material for immediate sealing by the pressing into place of environmentally friendly PU gel

Advantages of the Cherne process

The PU gel forms a stable sealant body, independent of the surrounding earth, directly at the point of damage. Thus, the quantity pressed can be restricted to a minimum. The permanent elasticity of the material and the natural moisture of the soil guarantee the stability of the seal. PU gel is environmentally friendly and non-toxic in contact with water, so it can also be used in water protection zones.
