Training and instruction courses
In the framework of occupational safety, Buchen UmweltService regularly
conducts training and instruction courses, e.g.
- The preliminary retraining and instruction courses required by
the law and according to accident prevention regulations
- Monthly safety instruction courses and corresponding visits
according to SCC**
- Training of new safety officers
- Training on hazardous goods law and information on new legislation
in the hazardous goods field
- Training courses for the subject group Hazardous Goods Transport
Further development of the personal protection equipment
In 1988, on a testbench specially conceived and constructed for the purpose,
Buchen UmweltService carried out three high pressure water cutting experiments on
various boot types and materials which might be suitable for
integration in boots. All experiments were carried out in collaboration
with representatives of the occupational safety and insurance bodies.
Different materials (alone or in combination, for example, with perforated sheet steel,
or Kevlar) and special inserts of a plastic in 8 ply to 14 ply versions
were tested.
These experiments will be continued.
