Industrial climbers at Buchan KraftwerkService

At dizzying heights or at other points that are difficult to reach from the ground, and where it is impossible or too expensive to use cranes or scaffolding - these are the classic workplaces of rope access technicians, also known as industrial climbers. Using rope-assisted climbing techniques, these specialists work on almost inaccessible structures or buildings, such as radio towers and silos.

For a long time now, Buchen KraftwerkService has been employing rope access technicians to carry out cleaning and maintenance tasks in power stations. Customers save time and money when the climbers perform safety cleaning on membrane tube walls, boiler roofs and collector pipes or carry out cleaning and maintenance work in power plant boiler houses. No scaffolding, hoists or cranes are needed. Each climber works from two separately secured ropes. Day-to-day operations are hardly affected by the climbers, and the procedure is quick, safe, effective and inexpensive.

In October 2011, more Buchen KraftwerkService employees completed their training as rope access technicians and passed their examinations. These new staff with a head for heights will be working in teams to take on all those assignments requiring climbing skills that have to be carried out on our customers' premises. This guarantees that all work involving rope access technology is performed by professionals with many years of experience in industrial cleaning.
