Volunteer fire company practices for serious situations in the center for continuing education in Voerde
The Spellen fire brigade from the Voerde volunteer fire company met at the end of July 2009 in the practice rooms of the Buchen center for continuing education in Voerde in order to be prepared for serious situations. The 14 meter long respiratory protection practice path with eight obstacles consists of two large containers connected to each other through a hall. These were additionally filled with smoke so that rescuing out of containers could be simulated and trained under even more realistic conditions. For the fire brigade from Spellen, training under such circumstances was an absolutely new and informative experience.
The center for continuing education from the Buchen Group has existed since November 2008 and offers external users training options where they can practice their theoretical knowledge directly under realistic conditions. The center for continuing education in Voerde has been certified since July 2009 according to the AZWZ (Acceptance and Certification Regulation for Continuing Education) by the DEKRA.
